Spruce Street Renovation

In previous years, this 100-year-old historic craftsman style home had been broken up into five apartments.  Our clients vision was to convert the structure back to a single-family residence.  The renovation plans were striving to keep the existing fabric largely intact while introducing elements of a modern lifestyle such as open and well connected public spaces and a kitchen suitable for entertaining.  During the renovation, the dark core of the house was opened up to the rear and to the roof to create views to the outside and to provide natural light.  Several skylights bring daylight into the heart of the house, which is now used for a large open kitchen and entertainment area. The attic is used as loft space and for two bedroom suites.
